This might be a funny request, but fact is...I lack Z-art in my collection. That is files starting with Z. This means an empty Z section of my site, and that doesn't look good. Sure I have a few zebras, but they are tucked away in animal collections. So what I want is drawings starting with Z. Find your dictionary if you can't find any ideas. Thanks in advance, Erik K. And I didn't think that it looked that bad on the screenshots you provided (except that the fonts on the random ascii art script didn't work on your system.) Here are screen shots taken at roughly the same spot on your page from the three browsers we have, Netscape Navigator 3.04, MSIE3.02 and Opera3.51. To make the script work, I couldn't use the PRE tag. (technical limitations in Java Script...) I had to use a font tag instead. The font tag works the way that if you don't have the first font it suggests, it looks for the next one, if you don't have that it goes to the next one and so on. (I've also done HTML since 1993 and have my own webdesign business, so I know my stuff). Obviously you don't have any of the fonts it suggests. (Preformatted fonts as Monaco, Courier and so on.) Opera looks like it ignores the font tag, as it looks nice in IE. I agree that the main font for the page is too small on high resolutions. (at least on your peecees anyways :) I'll turn it up a notch or two. (next update :) (So far...no positive comments on it...people...the collection is what counts....if I wanted to make it a super-duper design, I'd do so :) Please click the user survey and tell me your opinions. Hey, this is all my fault! I appologize from making one simple comment that

was pointing out was that I didn't think your claim of having the largest
ascii-art collection on the web was false.

I tend to ignore people like that, but Veronica is a highly regarded ascii artist, and when people like that call me a newbie and stuff it kind of hurts. I may not be an artist, just a mere collector. My facination with ascii art has made me use a lot of my spare time sharing, spreading and promoting ascii art for free. I've always been friendly to newbies, new artists and everyone who gives me feedback, because I was once new and I can only thank Joan Stark for bringing me into the wonderful world of ascii simply by answering my requests and being friendly to me. I don't want to leave the ascii art world, but as I've said before I thrive on feedback, and if it's JUST negative feedback (like lately) I lose interest in keeping up a collection. sort of script it is - But I don't see why you can't just swap the <FONT...>
tag for a <PRE> tag?

If it's a <PRE> tag, any browser worth it's salt will allow the text (or
picture in this case) run beyond the right margin and allow the user to
scroll. Those that don't don't deserve to be used.
And I too know my stuff... My job is entirely consistant with designing and
writing web pages for users on a variety of platforms, so I know what works
and what doesn't on all of the commonly used browsers, including Lynx, IE2,
IE3, IE4, NS2, NS3, NS4 and Opera in it's various versions... and I'd go so
far to say that most of my HTML could be viewed on any browser that pays
attention to the W3C specs.
