Well, looking at your page I thought you were just yet another newbie...

Fact is, you did!

Why?

I know that. I also know a few very good reasons NOT to use the <font>
tag at all! Like I said before, if there's a <font> tag in your html
then you know you've done something wrong.

Obviously you do not.

Oh, I have a font called "Courier". I also have Netscape 4, which lets
me TURN OFF HTML DEFINED FONTS! (from what I've heard, this is a very
popular feature).

OK:

http://validator.w3.org/

gives a LONG list of syntax errors. Fix those first!

This also invalidates your claim above that you "know your stuff". A
handful of errors on a page is ok, even from a professional, but not a
HUGE list like that!

The unit for measuring preformatted text is "characters" (also: "rows"
and "columns"). You can't measure preformatted text in "pixels", and
expect other people to get the same result. Your logo is "96 characters
wide" (or "96 columns wide"), not "640 pixels wide" (apparently it was
much more than that on my screen, with the font I have chosen).

I played a little with your page:
