     In today's news, the asskey art world bid a fond
  farewell to one-time archivist, Erik "The Dick" Veland.
  Erik was well-known for keeping one of the largest ascie
  collections on-line, although his web page did contain
  many megabytes of Usenet and Email headers acompanying
  the text pictures he so loved. He was also reported to
  have ignored email and the works of famous asskey car-
  toonists such as JRO and his missing pal, Al.

    Erik's sudden demise came as a shock to the asskey art
  world, when he apparently took his own life in a bizzare
  fashion. Freinds said his means of suicide was, "Typically
  Erik". The distress which led up to his fateful action was
  precipitated by the asskey art world's own "Rabid Reposting
  Duo". Being of weak mind, Erik allowed the kibitzers' rabid
  reposts to upset him, instead of ignoring their off-topic,
  criticisms of his web page. Unable to deal with the fact that
  his web site was, indeed, in need of some repair, and unable
  to completely defend himself from the Rabid Duo, Erik chose
  the final resort in a fit of depression. Shocked and distraught
  by her loss, his mother (whom he still lived at home with),
  managed to make the observation, "His last act on earth was
  one I have been trying to teach him to remember for most of
  his life. At least for once, he did flush."
