Can anyone put together either one of these pics for a reasonable sized
sig ???
Also, anyone have a picture of a fat-ish cow with black spots...maybe
chewing some grass/looking bored?

a mini-collection of pretty clear quality hi-res pics of Xena: Warrior
on my main page (see below). Hit the shamrock for a good look!
Any suggestions about this site would be greatly welcomed! (i.e. do you

I never in my life saw a heifer or an adult cow with five teats on it (maybe the vet got to them all first?). Five is particularly strange, because if anything I would expect it to be symmetrical and have a small extra PAIR of teats. I do know one cow that still has a fifth (don't know why she didn't have her's removed, though), but it is not like she has a fifth section to her udder. The teat is under-developed, and it is attached to one of the back sections of her udder. It doesn't cause her any problems that I know of; it's just a cosmetic thing. Moo! Few people know it but Cows are very good scientists and architects. The only problem is that they don't have hands to do the fiddly jobs. For this purpose they enlist the help of chimpanzees who are much better at tying knots and screwing in screws for pulleys etc than cows. The cows come up with the ideas and the chimps put them into action : Here is a blueprint of one of the cows ideas. As you can see it's not bad. Of course it had to get the chimp to draw it (due to not having hands) so it's not completely accurate. Chimps are not very good at coming up with ideas or drawing in general, but they can pull ropes and climb trees which is why the cows enlist their help. Also Chimps work for very little pay. A couple of bananas and they'll do anything. Most cows have 4 nipples; (aka. teats, or as the farmers say
it-"tits"); however, sometimes (maybe 10-15%) calves are
born with 1, 2, or even 3 and 4 supranumary teats or extra teats.
One of the routine practices I perform is to remove these
extra teats on calves, usually at the same time as I dehorn them.
Believe it or not, I just snip them off with a pair of scissors
while the calf is standing. I have the farmer "tail her up",
which is a very effective way to immobilize all Bovine.
I had a female farmer say to me just today: "its a good thing
women don't have extra teats!" Extra tits are removed
because they can become a problem when the cow matures
and comes into milk. They can be functional and secrete
milk but usually at a much lower rate. They just make it
harder to milk them and often lead to mastitis which can
make the cow sick.
So, now I deserve to know why you asked this question.
