BTW I went by your webpage today and saw all your great work (and felt bad about not updating my own webpage) The font however looked wrong to me .. So I changed browser and found that it looks right in IE , but for some reason Firebird (which I use) renders the font slightly larger which doesn't look quite right. Could you modify the stylesheet to specify the font size so it looks right ? Also a tip .. some people prefer a different font for viewing ascii-art. With alternate stylesheets you can give the visitor a choice between fonts (and all other styles if you wish) Modern browsers support this. As an example here a snip from Mozillazine.org that offers an extra stylesheet called afterdark that visitors can choose. The code is simple : <link rel="stylesheet" href="/frontpage.css" type="text/css"> <link rel="alternate stylesheet" title="AfterDark" href="/afterdark.css" type="text/css"> The first <link> is the default stylesheet The rel="alternate stylesheet" in the second specifies an alternate stylesheet. You could put another viewfont in this .. or choose to display white on black. Christian :)

You can't possibly foresee the different environments your visitors use. My gripe with Sebastians page is that I CAN'T override the font settings .. not without using the option in Firebird to scale *all* the fonts , and if I do this , I will have to undo this when I visit the next site. Specificly the ' char looks blocky when the font size if too big, and if it's much to big the .:; and , char look bad too. The artwork displays fine in Mozilla Thunderbird with the same font settings. This lead me to belive that something on Sebastians page cause the font to be render in a bigger than normal size that make the ' char blocky

I remember adjusting my font sizes in Firebird, too. Somehow the monospace font size is dependent on the overall font size (don't ask me how exactly). There aren't any font sizes specified in my stylesheet (except "font-size:smaller" for the footer). I rather suppose there's something wrong with Firebird's font implementation or at least a very strange way of adjusting font options. Also you need to make the fingertips look better. F.x the fingertip above the "t" should not end in the ` char enven though you flipped it .. "'" still looks better .. and the detail on the pinky seems to be gone Christian :)

Tried a few ways ( ` , ) from the quick flip, ( hand in the cookie jar ) non of it look well at all, but did look interesting enough for a post depicting one possible way a lefthander writes. As for myself i have seen not many write as i do in where the top of the paper is pointing almost toward your chest, printing or writing the letters right to left. It is for most part almost upside down as you are writing and reading it. Turn it back to the norm, anybody can read it then. lgbeard
