I don't think that's a solution.
'Fixed' and 'monaco' are two specific fixed-width fonts and 'monospace' 
is the platform independent(!) generic family name.

I remember adjusting my font sizes in Firebird, too. Somehow the 
monospace font size is dependent on the overall font size (don't ask me 
how exactly). Took me quite a while to figure out how to make it dislay 
all fonts in approximately the same size.

I wouldn't know how.
There aren't any font sizes specified in my stylesheet (except 
"font-size:smaller" for the footer).

I rather suppose there's something wrong with Firebird's font 
implementation or at least a very strange way of adjusting font options.

Feel free to tell me where the error in my stylesheet is 
(http://www.ascii-art.net/ascii.css) but I fear the 
declaration is correct.
