If you do decide to help me,

No, private gifts to a student would not be tax deductible. File that under
reason #1,000,000 not to fall for this blatant scam. Not to mention, he
didn't even bother to make it rhyme!

I AM an engineering student with a $2,800 Gateway laptop.

If I was an engineering student and I misspelled "laptop" as "labtop"
I would wonder how I ever got into college.

Also, if I were blowing tens of thousands on tuition, and could not
afford a lousy $1,600 for a laptop, get a job or give blood. Sperm
donors are paid money hand over fist.

Also, donations to an individual are NEVER tax deductible.

Also, he is going to be an upcoming freshman and his ass is so lazy he
cannot raise $1600 from the end of May to the end of August? What a
lazy ass! I bought my own car when I was candy ass's age with my own
money I earned working at Pizza Hut. No one wiping my ass for me.

Also, laptops are a lot cheaper than $1,600. Junior doesn't need the
DVD to watch porn while he is going to school. He could check out the
school and see if they offer deals, or if Gateway offered a student
package.

In short, what a scam. I hope he has been reported to Yahoo already.

Although I believe that this "desperate" cry for help was probably
part of a student's experiments in scam methodology, I have to say
that the term "labtop" does exist and it also predates the term
"laptop". It was used to refer to relatively small and therefore
easily movable - within the lab - computers that in the old days
performed specialized calculations.

These days laptops (as general purpose computers) can be used in a
lab or on the road (as true portables), but when used within the lab
their are still referred to as "labtops". Sometimes, educational
institutions require specific models of labtop-laptop computers with
specific configurations.

The ASCII art is pretty cool by the way! :)

People that use computers are not really doing the math, Learn to do the
math and scientific calculations on paper, learn how to re- check and double
check on paper.

While I'm not giving Mike money, there certainly
is a Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY.

This is stupid how would anyone fall for this shit? I'm almost a teen. I
work my ass off doing chores for ten bucks a week to save and invest in the
stock market! No, not Nortel. I have a S.I.N. number, so i can start work
now! Even though the law says 14. I can mow lawn etc. I have over 2,000
bucks in my bank acount and i'm saving hard!!!!! I want to go to Ryerson and
McMaster, directing PhD, and Science MD. I don't want this person to give me
shit saying ohh, give me money cause i'm to lazy to work my ass off! I don't
believe in that spam shit, cause i'm smart! You have a long time, go get a
job you lazy asshole, and jackass! Now, I'm called lazy, but in this case
i'd be a person who works their ass off 24/7!! Note: sorry for the foul
language, but now i'm really pissed!

You guys are just crazy, please do not say there isn't something when there
is. I am a RIT graduate, thank you!Laptops don't cost as much as they use
to, get a refurbished one, they are a lot cheaper.
