Re: PLEASE HELP ME!!!
Although I believe that this "desperate" cry for help was probably part of a student's experiments in scam methodology, I have to say that the term "labtop" does exist and it also predates the term "laptop". It was used to refer to relatively small and therefore easily movable - within the lab - computers that in the old days performed specialized calculations. These days laptops (as general purpose computers) can be used in a lab or on the road (as true portables), but when used within the lab their are still referred to as "labtops". Sometimes, educational institutions require specific models of labtop-laptop computers with specific configurations. The ASCII art is pretty cool by the way! :) LW In article <3b0...@news.ntlworld.com>, stu...@bigfoot.com says... > On Tue, 22 May 2001 21:15:41 GMT, "Mike Chomic" <cho...@hotmail.com> > enlightened us with: > > > I beg you, please help > > me get a labtop computer. > > Seems fair enough. > > > ._________________. > |.---------------.| > || || > || -._ .-. || > || -._| | | || > || -._|"|"| || > || -._|.-.| || > ||_______________|| > /.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.\ > /.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.\ > /.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.\ > /______/__________\___o_\ DrS > \_______________________/ > > __ [] > || [] > || [] > || [] > __ || [] > || || [] > .-||-||-.
