Rubbish .. they are quite practical in this heatwave.
Men also wear full length pants and shorts so I don't see why a hybrid of the
two is less suitable for men.

Just a few reasons off the top of my head:

Because men have ugly ankles?
Because I don't need to see a mans ass in tight fitting pants?
Because the truth is that most women over the age of 25 don't look
good in capri pants but don't know it and the same is true for most
men.
If men were meant to wear capri pants then they would all have been
born gay?

Kilts are cool.  Capris are gay.  

And I mean gay as in even the gay population of Hillcrest[0] know
better than to wear them because they think capries are gay in the
derogative in use of the word.

I don't think so .. mens ankles are just ankles .. neither beautiful nor ugly.

MENS capri pants are not tight fitting .. womens are.
If you think that's what mens capri's look like, then no wonder you think they
are gay.
I hear that you can't really get mens capri's in America so that might be why
you have this impression.

Any woman with good legs and a nice bottom can pull off wearing tight fitting
capri's .. no matter their age.
Plenty of (european) women can pull off wearing capri's into their thirties.
And if they can't then they can wear loose fitting capri's.
Basically if they can wear shorts they can also wear loose fitting capri's

That's a really stupid argument.
Men are born with nipples too , yet they aren't meant to feed babies breastmilk.

Maybe I am being a bit 19th century but I think there are beautiful vs not
so beautiful ankles.  Tendonded vs smooth, all hair vs no hair vs
sockline hair.  Lots of things that make the diff between a nice ankle
and an ugly one.

Not a lot of demand for them here so no market.

You may not be aware of the fat crises here in the US.  There are very
few women over the age of 25 who have good legs and a nice bottom as an
overall percentage of the population.  
I feel obliged to insert this tired joke here: That isn't a broad
statement, this is a statement about broads.

I wouldn't recomend most 30 something American women to wear shorts.
In the EU it may be a different case, but in the US it is a bad idea.
We already have a problem with women who have an extra 30 pounds not
knowing that they should wear cloths in their size and their belly
button isn't cute when it is large enough to loose coins in.

Of course it is stupid, it wasn't meant to be an argument.  It was
meant to be a smart-assed quip.  If you want an argument you will have
to go down the hall.

We are talking cultural bias here.  There is no room for logic in that
type of convesation.  If Axl Rose had warn a pair of capries instead
of a kilt or Mel Gibson had made a movie about the French Revolution
we might be haveing a different conversation now.

artistic skills of something unpleasant and sticky down the side of the 
fridge.
       
       I'm surprised that the "sensation of having *every* square
