On the shield/badge I did, I left mine off because all I did was take one of jgs's pics and put it in the middle of the shovel...Should that count as sig worthy? I peronally don't really think so...because a diddle like that is minor to say the least...While it uses a bit of thought and imagination, very little personal creativity when into it (when compared to adding my own symbol into it, or like R@ineR's mask). Is there some kinda unwritten code of ethics on adding additional sigs...like a certain percentage changed or something? I've changed one or two lines on a few and left the original sig intact (not adding my own). Other time's I've changed like 98% of one by the time my diddle was done and just added my sig, even though you'd be hard pressed to see the original work. -Zot

(So hard to fit in 80 char's that I had to overlap & edit the
staff :( )
I needed an old man & found one (thanks hjw) then I needed a cleric,
then a wizard...Diddling can make a HUGE differance...thus far i've
only gotten to a second diddle from someone elses work...but I imagine
I could eventually diddle the thing back to it's original work if I
ever need an old man & forget I havethe original...
(NOTE: on my webpage you may notice that the hjw sig is missing on the
cleric & old man...I plan on readding them next time I overhaul my
page, which should not be too long from now.)

And if you use a program like JavE isn't it kinda cheating to begin with? From Watership Down (great movie, EXCELENT book) I used Jave to convert an image, then heavily modified it. Diddling is art too .. depending on how good the diddle was and how much you diddled it's a greater or smaller amount of art/skill on the part on the diddler. > Ok, I've just downloaded JavE and used it fer the first time... > What is 'good form' on adding a sig to converted pictures? If I diddle it, I sometimes leave out that information if I think it wasn't important .. If I .. like I have done before .. start with a image .. edit it in a photoeditor to remove or add details (usually i remove details that I know will not be converted well) , then convert it .. twiddling with the settings in JavE to get the best conversion (thats a skill too) and then rediddled major parts of the image .. or sometimes all of it (using the conversion as a guide to get the proportions right) then I take full credit and don't feel bad about it. > And if you use a program like JavE isn't it kinda cheating to begin > with?
