    concerning his authorship of the converted material ...

    ... perhaps an idea to issue a URL to the source gif used
    with any conversions ... (perhaps like Joris did?) ...
    plus prog.version used ... and a suggestion to tidy-up the
    edges or any 'colour' over-flood?
