I saw that after I pounded the code out.  I might switch to that
if the current script breaks down.  I know it will likely break down
at some point because it has no error checking in it at all.  The
question is if it will happen frequently enough for me to worry about
it or not.

It didn't run last night becasue I forgot to update my crontab file.
Normally I have a '*/3 * * * * crontab ~/.crontab' line in my local[0]
copy so that I can edit it and it will update its self.  But since
this system hasn't been tweeked out yet little details like that
aren't in there yet.  

[0] as in the copy i keep in my home dir so that I don't have to run a
backup on the crontab dir as well as the home dir.
