You should be able to claim "fair usage" on the tiny bit of other people's
work you used. Like you can use a sentence or two of a regular written
work --it was mostly by the way of positive reviews anyway. (and you're
pobably in as much trouble for putting it on your web site already with
anybody who wants to be a jerk about it!)

The strip refers to the numbering. The strips were numbered. It's
part of the stip. You're stuck.

Remeber that people will read this is 1-2 sittings. The break in the
action might be good. I know side stories are left in the middle of other
stories in some of the Doonesbury books.

Somehow note them as being so. They'll amuse people reading the 100th
printing years from now.

Did you understand all of "far side"??

And the Christmas gift one --no stip has stuff like that? Ok. So maybe
you'd better get rid of -all- the original stuff in it then. :-)

And a section on fan art would be cool too. I think most would be willing
to send a letter releasing rights to you and you probably wouldn't want to
include -all- of it anyway.

A foreward by one of the other top ascii artists might be cool too
(Maybe Joan or Stark Veronica K. --Mike Jittlov is a name outside
of ascii art. You lurking here any more Mike?
-Or- if anybody knows a print cartoonist they could point at the site
and con 'em into a free foreward...)
