LMAO!!! It is funny to watching people bitching about a country as
great as the U.S.A., when they obviously have no understanding of what
they're on about.

Hey! if it give you pleasure attempting to insult us, then by all
means knock yourself out - it's amusing, if only in a pitiful way.

doing our best to become the next redneck wonderland
down under! after all nothing like a bunch of asians
denying both our heritage, ethnicity and geo-location
by illegitimately jailing refugees including their
children, since they are such a flight risk, that
have committed no crimes for up to 3 years while
"paperwork" is being processed! No statue of
liberty for us to greet such refugees.

at least the usofna version of this (GB)
has "potential" criminals and
terrorists. and after all
why can't the mightiest
dog dictate the rules?
wasn't it always so,
from the schoolyard
to the boardroom?

It was originally a gift from france - before they became a socialist
state that abhors freedom for Arabs - the statue was constructed by
Americans (it was also constructed by frenchmen before being
disassembled and shipped to the USA). Unfortunately it had to be
rebuilt less than 100 years later because of defective materials
fabricated in france. We still appreciate those french who made it for
us, though - at least they believed in liberty.

How about:

The refridgerator
The football
The underwater torpedo
The tank
The bionic ear
The notepad
Postage stamps
Supersonic combustion

and a radar that can detect the stealth bomber bwahahahaha

Also first place in the world to have secret ballots and to give women the
vote.

And despite all of this we still have the Queen of England as our head of
state... wtf.

Don't know about the rest, but the postage stamp was invented by James
Chalmers (a Scotsman) in 1834. Rowland Hill championed the idea of the
penny post, and the first stamp, the Penny Black, was issued by the UK
in 1840.

The home sized refrigerator was created by an American.

You mean the round one?

Nope, torpedoes were invented by Americans during the American Civil War.

Well, it was for the British Army, I don't know if it was an Australian who
invented it.

Wasn't that Dr. Rudy Wells from the OSI?

Err... I think the Egyptians or the Chinese would have a thing or two to

Great Britain - was it a prisoner who created it?

Meteors have been around since the dawn of time.

All radar can detect the stealth bomber. It's the footprint that makes the
difference.

I don't think so, Chuck.

Hmmm I think you're thanking the wrong people, The Crown prince
noticed her, asked her, married her and the rest of Denmark accept her
as their own. You should be proud of the values shown by your royal
family.
She seems like a loveley person who would not have been given the same
opportunities or notice here in Australia by her fellow Australians.

That depends on who you believe it seems. From Wikipedia:

#----------------------------------------------------------------------

Development of the first refrigerators

Many countries can claim to be the home of the inventor of the
refrigerator, as the technology was developed over a period of time all
over the world, using different types of technology and for different
purposes. Claimants to the name of inventor include Oliver Evans (USA),
Jacob Perkins (USA and England), John Gorrie (USA), Alexander Catlin
Twining (USA), James Harrison (Australia) and Carl von Linde (Germany).
One of the first uses of "home" refrigeration was at Biltmore Estate in
Asheville, North Carolina, USA, installed around 1895 [1]
(http://www.biltmore.com), while in commercial refrigeration the Vestey
Brothers opened one of the first refrigerated cold stores in London the
same year.

The gas absorption refrigerator, which cools by the use of a source of
heat, was invented in Sweden by Baltzar von Platen in 1922. [2]
(http://otal.umd.edu/~vg/amst205.F97/vj09/project5.html) It was later
manufactured by Electrolux and Servel. Today it is used in homes that
are not connected to the electrical grid, and in recreational vehicles.

Like I said, I love Australia. The thing I'm not so sure about are
the abrogation of the right to arm themselves with guns. But then
that should be obvious to anyone watching the crime rate increase.

Yeah, the right to bear arms in the US has really helped drive that
crime rate down there ... (cough cough)

It sure has. CCW (concealed carry of weapons) States have seen a
definite decrease in crime, whereas those places that have restricted
or banned weapons are the worst crime ridden shitholes in the country.
It's abundantly clear that only law-abiding citizens obey laws that
usurp the right to defend oneself with a firearm.
