Nice one, diddled below...

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ the united states of america has a great
bball competition
$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$ and a strong and stable economy * it
is the world's only
$$$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$$ remaining super power and has lost very
few wars * it has
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ the most effective military machine in
the world's history
$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$ in absolute terms, perhaps not
relatively when considering
$$$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$$ past military giants such as the
absolute domination roman
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ empire had enjoyed in its height * the
usa is young nation
$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$ such as australia and despite europe
having many more year
$$$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$$ to get their act together trail
economically & in military
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ terms whilst still being quite rife with
political issues
$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$ such as racism * the united states of
north america is oft
$$$$ $$$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$$ derided but like the romans have brought
many advances to
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ the worlds civilisations such as the
sit-com, hollywood
$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$$ $$$ and super models and super stars and
oprah... whilst these
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ were not all "invented" by americans
they really made them
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ work * americans work extremely hard
with only 2 weeks off
a year and must compete in a very capitalistic market place where the
  danger of layoffs
and international outsourcing are every present dangers whereas in
comparison the euro
community can sometimes be said to work to live rather than live to work
* americans  is a
bit of an inaccurate terms since there are many peoples on the american
continent both nth
and south who of course are not united states citizens however the usa
is gracious enough
to allow such a term to pass and also are happy to identify their
sporting competitions as
so advanced as to really effectively be world series rather than purely
national titles *
some people are happy to take a one sided view but the usa kicked
hitlers ass but true the
russians helped a lot but usa ended up winning the cold war as well *
  freedom of speech
freed the slaves eventually strong constitution * made/used the big bomb
kill lots of civs
with it, hardly uncommon in ww2 (ask your grandfather) * speaking of
firsts they were 1st
to the moon and really who can say we're not all better off without
that? * many americans
individuals and corporations are extremely rich, something others
aspire to, and some of
these even give to charities far more than you or I could hope to give
in absolute terms.
