Outlook 98 and its annoying (HTML)

I realise that this may not be the best forum to ask,
but as its the only one I have the problem with,
I was wondering if you could help me.

I anyone knows how to remove this oh-so helpful facility,
I'd be much thankful.

Sorry, there's no known way of turning it off. (A few of the regulars here
use it and it's been discussed a lot!)

When I had Internet Mail and News (That's Outlook Express's predicessor) way
before OE came out, I started using Free Agent for alt.ascii-art, but I
liked it so much I started using it for all of the newsgroups I subscribed
to... funnily enough this is the only one I still read from those days.


Give it a try - it does only what you tell it!

(And it's free)

There are other, free, newsreaders too, take your pick. Just make sure you
get one with no 'helpful features'!

You want a news client that can import Outlook Express newsgroup files? I
doubt you can get one... can you not just keep all of the old messages in
Outlook Express (I assume you'd keep it for email) and read new messages in
(for the sake of arguement) Free Agent. (see my other post for my
recommendation of Free Agent.)
