I think it's the nipples. They're so asymmetric that, together with the curves, they give an almost ridiculously dynamic appearance. It's as if the statue were made of wobbling Jell-o. Or as if the sculptor had been on drugs. Or both. Someone really needs to diddle in the missing bodyparts, though. I'd do it myself, but that's a particular drawing style I've never really mastered. Despite seeing it here nearly every day, it never ceases to amaze me that someone can get organic shapes out of just slashes and parentheses. -- Ilmari Karonen (ilt...@sci.fi) | Core War isn't dead! http://www.sci.fi/~iltzu/ | http://www.koth.org/

Is that correct? |>> If you display the message, you see the first 4 lines. |>> After pressing the down key, you see the next 4 lines. |>> And so on - or also backwards. |>ok :) |> '----------------------------- Basically, It's going to be impossible to make ascii pics for your phone because it uses a proportional font which few (if any) of the newsgroup regulars have seen. If you don't know why, see the FAQ: http://voices.vossnet.co.uk/a/atkins/ada/aaafaq.txt Also, not having a backslash would be restrictive. Slashes and Backslashes are the basis of a lot of ASCII Art. So, anything anyone makes will probably need respacing to work with the font on your phone. One final question... I've seen phones with a whole variety of fonts... some have fixed-width (they have 'character boxes' which can hold exactly one character) and a few had proportional fonts (true LCD screen, with the whole panel pixelled, rather than boxes for forming characters) - and the fonts were all different. This means that unless your recipient has a fixed width font phone, or exactly the same font as you --- you can't do it. If it's a fixed-width font on your recipient's, you can reproduce *exactly* what you see on the screen with the same amount of every character. On your phone you will see the same sort of effect that you get when looking at monospaced asciiart in 'Arial' ... but the recipient should get it so long as the phone has a fixed-width font. -Martin |\/| _..__|_o._ /\_|_| o._ _ mart.atkins@-- | |(_|| |_|| | /--\|_|<|| |_> --bigfoot.com
