I use CJ (not to be mistake for cjr - that's CJRandall) , and because my normal nick is also very short i use that too sometimes. Shaun Mead ... hhmmmm S&M ? ;). Thanks nah uh I have 10,- 20 lines sigs ;o) A sig is your "sig"nature (neat huh??) it aint just for your art its for emails and postings as well. However if your sig is too big don't post it outside of alt.ascii (or other ascii related ng's) as it annoys the hell out of people when they reply. I am notorious through out USENET as the bastard with the huge sigs. for this reason most people keep there sigs small. I'd say 5 is really max. Also try not to make it wider than 72 characters (average character width). Your sig should have a theme that represents you really, as it is your signature. Take mine my sig's are always related to my hobbies: Hip Hop Sigs. MCing - I try to represent with someone rapping or by microphones DJing - I represent with Turntables or DJ's Graffiti - I represent in my actual name Jay C (I write it in a graffiti style), with graffiti artists and with spray cans. I am workin on breakdance sig @ mo' Music I represent with cd players, tape players etc. WOMEN I draw naked women (or steal kroggs ;o) ) You kind of get the gist, you need to find something to model your sig on it could jus be your name in fancy writing, it could be something that represents you. Or you could do the Joan Stark route and have x million sigs by jus showing off one of your millions of amazing graphics. I still believe he meant artist sigs not mail/news - sigs. But I want to add that you can get away with a few more line if the weight on the eyes is'nt too big.. """ All though my sig is 8 lines , it's still just acceptable because .. a) it's cute b) it's easy on the eyes. Not just because it has a great deal of whitespace but also because there are not pointy edges .. which is also why the mushrooms are so cute - it's hard to make pointy cute stuff. Don't do sigs as large as Jay C's .. although they contain naked chicks (which i just love!) they ARE too big , and are only good here .. because a) we (i) likee him because he makes funny remarks b) his sig change often making them OBascii (obligatory ascii) ... oh and did i mention some of them look like naked babes ?
