Hi! I'm a Implementor of the first italian MUD, a MUD is a role play
game in internet totally based on ascii text for description and
action and i'm lurkin here since 1996. <;>
Someone may be interested to product some fantasy and common ascii art
for us?
I have made a banner for "Clessidra" (means sand-glass), this is the
MUD's name, and some common fantasy object but i'm a poor newbie
compared to you, and i would some better.

To produce good quality, consistent, ASCII art,
it is important to not use graphics user interface
programs, such as windows.

Can I correctly assume you mean "Hour Glass",
a device to measure the flow of time? :-)

Ok, it looks like very good art work, but the lines are
too long for some reason. The first three lines are OK,
but the 4th line wraps, messing up the whole thing.
I will try to show how it looks to me, and then try
to fix it online in text mode, using the unix text editor "tin".

It looks good to me in true text-ASCII mode now,
the "I" is "dotted" with an hourglass shape, and the scroll
looks very good.

Well...Its very much off topic so im just gonna do this really short :) Its a text based dungeons and dragons game running off the internet where everybody with a telnet client can connect and play. Since it is fully text based using ascii-art is the only way for displaying pictures :) (normally things are not pictured but described with words) But when used right ascii-art can be a great add-on to it. I kin be rented. My wife wood jus' loove to rent me out. Last month, she done rented me out to two fertile-ity clinics, one professional horseshoer, some old codger with TB who needed somebodys to see he was still eatin' his chicken and dumplins, the Merry Melodies Day Care Center, an' the county jail. It were all a lot of fun, 'specially the cliniqueses, an' the horseshoe feller (all we did was play horseshoes all day). Of late, though, there's folks hanging 'round who wants me to he'p them do thangs like change transmissions; I never have caired much for that. Anyway, she usual gets 'bout six hunnerd dollars a day fer me, an' you'll have to buy the hootch an' the hamburgers. Not a bad deal, at all. If'n I do say so, myse'f. JRO
