Is there a program that will convert regular pics like .bmp, .gif that are
in colored to ascii that is in color ?

if so does anyone know where i might find it ?

ASCII in color is called ANSI. There's a program called poster but I don't know
where to get it. You could try searching the web for POSTER.ZIP or POSTER.EXE.
Try the BBS Archives for another GIF to ANSI converter in their ANSI/Avitar
Utilities section.

The only files I found there are 
G2A20.ZIP
ANSIREZ1.ZIP
and
THEBRUSH.ZIP

Also, GIFASCI.ZIP is there, also known as GIFSCII (converts GIF to ASCII). A
lot of people have asked about that one.
