Howdy all :)

For some reason, the 'ta' mora doesn't look right. Any

Sorry to be responding to my own post...but I made a coupla
obvious changes to the 'ta' that make it a bit smoother. I'm still
open to suggestion! :)

You read the bible, CJRandall <col...@shieldwolf.demon.co.uk>? Well
there's this little passage I got memorized:

>[][ hi Filicia ... alas this is what i get !?!?!?

Hmmm...I got the same type of thing :( I emailed her,
hopfully I'll get a clearer idea from her response.

>can you tell me what extra bits i've got to bolt onto my machine
>to see it the way you do ?
>plus ... can you translate/tell me what 'katakana' means in English ?

Katakana is one of the 3 Japanese alphabets and is mainly used
to phonitcally translate foriegn words & names. For example, the four
mora (letters) I posted attempted to translate the English name
"Critter" into their Japanese counterpart: "Kuritaa"
Another example: your name, Colin, would end up becoming
"Corin," and the kana would look something like this:

 d88888888888888b d8b d8b 88b.
 Y888888888888888 888 888 "YP .
              888 888 888 '" .b
              888 888 888 .db
              888 Y8P 888 .d8'
              888 888 .d8'
              888 888 .d8"
              888 .88P .d888'
              888 .d8P d888P"

Looking closer at you question i see that you were asking what
the word "katakana" ment in english.I _think_ it translates directly
to "type of alphabet" as apposed to "hiragana" bieng "beginning alphabet"
and i would be interested to see how close i am..maybe critter can
confirm or deny my guesses...

"katakana ha eigo de nani desuka?"
Did i say that right, its been a LONG time since i have practiced, and
i hardly write english good.

Katakana: square alphabet
Hiragana: round alphabet

And the "r" instead "l" thing is because there is no "l" in japanese.

Sorry for thrre dots . I thought critter was a odd handle.

I had changed "katakana of critter" to correct.
Watch this caracters.

katakana is a one of Japanese caracters.

Japanese langage have thrre kinds of caracters.
kanji,hiragana,and katakana.
kanji is from China. Half of Japanese is kanji.

katakana of CJ is this

  ccccc jjjjj j j

  ccccc jjjjj
       c iiiii j

  ccccccc jjjjj e eeeee
                   eeeee

katakana is used to transrate a name of foreghner.

I can not understand English very well.
I am not good at making a ascii-art.
But to see ascii-art is interesting.

By the way, my grandfather's parent is an Italian.
(But I can't speak Italian.)
