Here I am always trying to keep every drawing I do within the 72 char
limit and you come in and make me look the fool. =)
BTW you should mark which ones drawings are new. Also I can view wide
asciis just fine. Could you post the drawing as well as a link?

Unfortunately I'm restricted to using Outlook Express here (at work), and that's where I post most of my pictures from. I can never get OE to post wide pictures without it mucking up badly. The Fokker F100 was the first drawing I've done purely from home in some time. Should be no problem to mark the new ones as New - but how long do they stay "New" for ?? Do you know where I could get a decent free text-only counter from ? My ISP (Demon Internet) don't let home users have their own CGI scripts, and while they have a cgibin, the counter in that produces graphical output. Because I can't upload and use my own CGIs, it would need to run from another server. No; ordinary home users like me don't get write access to the cgibin. That would enable me to make a professional, scripted, business website. Business account holders are given this priveledge. On my site i don't use frames, hell i've even kicked out the tables. Just
css for positioning. That is good evil :)

I don't think that's possible. For security reasons, Java and JavaScript aren't allowed to access anything outside of their domain. I think the only solution is an IFRAME, like Dennis suggested. In that case you'd just have to put <iframe src="http://www.nerd-boy.net/counter/graeme" frameborder="0" width=100 height=40 scrolling="no"> Error <!-- "Error" shown when nerd-boy.net is down --> </iframe> or something like it somewhere on your page. The URL would just be a PHP page that shows a higher number each time it's accessed. Some website claimed that you could also use <OBJECT> to include an HTML file in another, but I couldn't get their example to work, so obviously it doesn't work in all browsers. Then use something like <script src="http://www.example.com/counter.js?site=wherever"> and have that /counter.js be a CGI program which counts the hit and then spits out some JavaScript which does document.write("2837") or the like. I've had great experiences with NextGenStats and highly recommend them. They have free web stats and hit counters which can be invisible, text-based, or one of 165 graphical styles. Their code uses just one line of javascript so installation couldn't be any easier. http://www.nextgenstats.com/

Good idea. The counter on my website now has two different modes. By default, it just spits out the new number, like in this example: http://www.nerd-boy.net/counter/nerdboy That can be inserted into a HTML-page by using an <IFRAME>. If you'd rather use JavaScript, there's the other mode, which you can access by just adding .js to the user id. http://www.nerd-boy.net/counter/nerdboy.js This one can be inserted into a page by using JavaScript: <script language="Javascript" src="http://www.nerd-boy.net/counter/nerdboy.js"></script> The JavaScript style is seamless, it's like it's really part of the webpage, not like the ugly <IFRAME>.
