I used to have a program that would convert a .gif to ascii art, but i lost it. Does anyone know the name of the program or where I can get it??
I was curious about playing around with that program a little bit...
but they do not appear to exist anymore. I used about 10 different
search engines and the only one I could find was the gifscii <sp> one.
It was being reprogrammed and was unavailable for download at the moment
however. Does anyone have any idea on mirror download sites for any of
these programs, or perhaps they have it on their web page? Any help
would be greatly appreciated

There's a really nice editor at http://studenten.freepage.de/meph/ascii/ascii.htm You can convert GIFs, but converting bmp to gif isn't much of a problem.
