I'm new to the group and think this is great stuff! I'm looking for a Pegasus. Anyone have it?

HELP! I love all of those pegasi (I think that is plural for pegasus) but I
am having trouble cutting and pasting into word pad! I LOVE fantasy stuff,
but I can't get this stuff to show up right. Help me, please!

I use the word processor, PC-Write, which has only one monospaced, non- proportional font. There is no other font available...makes life simple. :-) PC-Write puts 80 characters across the screen over a screen width of 9.6 inches and it puts 24 rows/lines of this text in a 7 inch screen depth. The only problem being the position of the ~ tilde character which New courier registers at a lower level than other fonts. Free Agent's Fixed, Mono, Non-proportional font range, except COURIER NEW, is somewhat limited to: COURIER 10 12 15 point COURIER NEW 8 9 10 11 12 14 16 18 20 22 24 26 28 36 48 72 point FIXEDSYS 9 point only. TERMINAL 9 point only. All the Free Agent fonts have the options of Regular, Italic, Bold, Bold Italic. I don't use Free Agent much to actually create pictures but it can be useful to check out what my picture looks like in Free Agent's Courier New Bold 10 Point. They talk about WSYWIG ( What You See Is What You Get ) but WYSINNWSES ( What You See Is Not Necessarily What Someone Else Sees ). Bye,

I use the either the terminal or fixedsys fonts for wordpad to view ascii art. Personally though, I prefer to use notepad with the system fonts set to a terminal-type font. You have to edit the registry to do this and I have have no idea what happens if you do it wrong. In win3.1 you had to edit system.ini and if you chose an incompatible font windows would refuse to start so you had to edit it again with edit. To change the win95 registry go to HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG/Display/Settings and change the fixedfon.fon to vgaoem.fon and change fonts.fon to vgasys.fon and change oemfonts.fon to vgaoem.fon and notepad will display all this cool ascii very nicely.
