Yeah, because.. rants and weblogs are stupid, and.. um.. the media
focuses on all the wrong things for all the wrong reasons. Or
something equally deep. All my strips have some deep meaning. Promise.
You just have to look hard and squint, like with those 3D pictures.

Nice new(?) chair for Nerd Boy. Did he have birthday
lately?
And this turn-to-the-left of Hammerheaddy is soooo cute!

In case I'd like to grasp the "deep content" here, maybe it
would be better to know the meaning of weblogs as well as
an adequate re-description of what my Oxford Dictionary says:

       rant  1 v. use bombastic language;
         declaim, recite theatrically; preach
noisily. 2 n. piece of ranting [Du.]

where [Du.] is explained as Du. = Dutch.

Hmmm... whith a little help from my friends???

A little obASCII:

                 12
            11 1

         10 RwR 2

                  | '.
         8 | '. 4
                  |

I don't know any word in Dutch which looks like 'rant' and has anything to
do with it. My Penguin English Dictionary says:

1 rant /rant/ vi to talk in a noisy, excited, or declamatory manner
~ vt to declaim bombastically [obs D ranten, randen] - ranter n,
	rantingly adv
	2 rant n (a) bombastic extravagant speech

'obs' means obsolete - so the word is no longer in use, which explains why I
can't find it in the dictionary.

Little girls write diaries, in books with locks on them, which they hide
from evil brothers who love to pick those locks and read their sisters'
Deepest Secrets.

Now, imagine writing such a diary but instead of hiding it you publish
it on the web.

Um... yeah... something like that. If you have too much Strong Feelings
about some stupid subject and you write page after page about why X
irritates you soooooo much, and then you publish it (e.g. on your
weblog).

Veronica Karlsson told me about weblogs and rants in
a claer and friendly manner.

Thank you.

To fill this little posting a little, I want to tell
you about an interesting writer and humorist, who
just came to my mind because of the similarity in
the name: Karl Valentin. I do not know if there are
any good translations of his sketches and songs.
Whoever likes Joaquim's comments will love the humor
of Karl Valentin too, I think.

Greetings from Germany
