Received this coffee mug as gift, left handed I was told.
Oh boy! the wheels started to grind wondering what
the difference was ? . I ask the person, the reply was
the inscription was nice and you are left handed.
The next day did some searching an found this site
http://www.anythingleft-handed.co.uk/
which also feature a picture of the cup but that was not
what I was looking for. What made it a left handed cup?
As it turns out the picture/writing is to you when it is
held in the left hand.

Never having given much thought about being left handed as
accept why did they build this way. Desk, doors, equipment,
tools an so much more all are backwards. Here is another
example of a left handed device.

why not switch to a neutral layout?

I use this at work, it's lovely since it takes so little space and has

Emacs-user (C-b C-n C-p C-f) though.

My "ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US" coffee cup I got from Think Geek
is a left handed one. There was no mention of it being so when I
ordered it but thats how it arived.

There is a tourist trap in my area and one of the shops in it is a
magic shop where you can get all of the cheap gags that keep people
amused for 20 seconds. But in the back of the store there is a left
handed section where you can get lefthanded clocks, coffee cups,
knives, rulers, scissors et al.

My Happy Hacking Keyboard.

Hey, could someone explain me this "all etc.." thing?
I've always been wondering about his meaning, but I've never
understood it!

From the Jargon File (http://www.tuxedo.org/~esr/jargon):

all your base are belong to us

A declaration of victory or superiority. The phrase stems from a 1991
adaptation of Toaplan's "Zero Wing" shoot-'em-up arcade game for the Sega
Genesis game console. A brief introduction was added to the opening screen,
and it has what many consider to be the worst Japanese-to-English
translation in video game history. The introduction shows the bridge of a
starship in chaos as a Borg-like figure named CATS materializes and says,
"How are you gentlemen!! All your base are belong to us." [sic] In 2001,
this amusing mistranslation spread virally through the internet, bringing
with it a slew of JPEGs and a movie of hacked photographs, each showing a
street sign, store front, package label, etc. hacked to read "All your base
are belong to us" or one of the other many supremely dopey lines from the
game (such as "Somebody set us up the bomb!!!" or "What happen?"). When
these phrases are used properly, the overall effect is both screamingly
funny and somewhat chilling, reminiscent of the B movie "They Live".

The original has been generalized to "All your X are belong to us", where X
is filled in to connote a sinister takeover of some sort. Thus, "When Joe
signed up for his new job at Yoyodyne, he had to sign a draconian NDA. It
basically said, `All your code are belong to us.'" Has many of the
connotations of "Resistance is futile; you will be assimilated" (see Borg).
Considered silly, and most likely to be used by the type of person that
finds Jeff K. hilarious.

thanks.. I was going to read the other link, but this's enough!
So it's a mistranslation.. I didn't understand the grammar of the
sentence!

The grammer is the reason as to it's quantness. Without it you would
never have heard of it.
