Hey Pete, fix your mailer!
The - you type in your subjects is being replaced (in exactly the same
manner that MS Word does) by the 'em dash', a longer, non-ascii hyphen.
Shame. SHAME! :)

Well, Netscape renders it okay here, too - in the message box.
But in the message list, and the title bar of this reply, it shows up as a
little square, just like all unknown characters in MS Sans Serif... :)

It is MS Word that is doing those funny conversions, I have therefore
changed the file format from .doc to .txt

Please continue giving feedback, since both MS Word and Netscape's
newsreader render OK on my system, i.e. I myself can see nothing wrong. Thanks!

Free Agent, being a little short on understanding of several things (MIME
and ISO-thingy-wotsit for a start) displays a code in the subject and a
black block in the message although I suspect I could probably view it ok in
a font other than FixedSys maybe Lucida Console (the only other monospaced
font I have other than Courier New which I despise)
