The original CRT-screen "Gumdrop" iMac.
This model is no longer maufactured or sold by Apple directly; they have
dropped this one in favour of the newer TFT iMac.
Amongst other things, the panel on the side features audio I/O, two FireWire
ports, two USB ports, a built-in modem.
I drew this one from an original Apple iMac User Guide that I downloaded
from Apples' webpage. The model featured was "Snowdrop" coloured, which is
why the clear plastic segments are only semi-transparent (hence the dashed
lines).

Great art ! I always loved the original iMac design (well all Apple design in fact), and even though I've never been a mac user, I had a poster of this original iMac in my room :) Well I didn't keep it in my new room but I still find it's cool :) BoD

When this hp was bought it was a toss between the new mac and this one. They even had a representive from the mac divison present. Talk for awhile, very informative. Sadly to say that was when they making a come back on new transpranent monitors and the cube but due to the lack avaibile programs for the mac at that time leaned toward the hp with windows which as died a couple of times. Seeing more programs for the mac now, the next one will be a mac. lgbeard
