Another faq perhaps? ... Is there any art using the full complement of IBM 8-bit characters? (Or does this specifically make this "non-ascii" art?) Having the damnedest time getting Gifscii to work. 89a is the problem. In article <2u4jme$6i...@gagme.wwa.com> Bob Allison, bob...@gagme.wwa.com writes: > Most converters require the GIF to be in 87a format, not 89a format. >GIFs in 89a format, must be converted to 87a format first. Some programs >capable of viewing GIFs can save in the 87a format. Please, please, which programs? I'm on a Mac Quadra 800, and have access to Turbogopher, Adobe Photoshop, Omnipage Pro, and others. Can someone please give me simple, childlike instructions? Many thanks, Phoenix.

I've seen a lot of it, (also using ANSI cursor-motion and color-changing sequences to provide full-color animation). It's bad practice to post these to UseNet, though, since many people will be viewing the messages on terminals that won't be able to view them properly.
