Well, it is a famous yoga posture. The yoga exercises are called "asanas". Paschimottanasana is an exercise that flexibilizes the backbone. The feet touch the back of the head. Requires years of practice. Greetings, Laurence (Uruguay, South America).

Google for 'paschimottanasana' - it's completely different. http://www.theyogashop.co.uk/nonshop/postures/Paschimottanasana.html

Although I understand your point, I think your analogy is broken. What is the converter's equivalent of the photographer's concept of composition, for example? While a photographer moves around in a 3D world and tries to capture all the sights, emotions, smells and whatnot of the scene in a 2D medium, the pixel->ASCII converter takes a picture and converts it to another medium. It's more akin to a photographer who only takes photos of old paintings, or a person who specializes in fiddling with the settings of a photocopier. > Are we having the full amount-of-work versus idea-concept-intention > discussion again? I should have known that "proof by example" never works. However, my point was that is doesn't matter how much work is involved, not that photographers don't work. > Is a discussion technically over if you haven't reached any conclusions? > I say we're _still_ having that discussion. :) True. Some take pictures with their own cameras, some buy postcards and send home. This guy "bought a postcard and then claimed to be a photographer". > even if the photogrpaher did not build the camera him-/herself. No, but he did "build" the picture with light, angles, making sure no fingers were in front of the lens, making sure not to chop off people's heads, etc. Even point-and-click photography requires some skill if you want acceptable result. > Are we having the full amount-of-work versus idea-concept-intention > discussion again? I don't mind people using different techniques to reach a good result, and I don't mind them doing it fast (e.g. I just *love* Figlet...).
