I can't watch ANSI colourcoded textart on my computer (not without installing
more program to see it) .. but I just got an idea .. wouldn't it be fairly
simple to do a ANSI-art viewer in JavaScript ?

hmm, nice but ansi :-)

clean ascii logo would look like this:

     __g_
  _` @@@t   7     RedHat 7.1 (Seawolf) Kernel
                 Laboratorio de Computacin
    Ѹ _g Departamento de Informtica UTFSM
 a_ `
    7ююg__,-

and imagine that left and bottom part is blue, and the rest is
yellow. also last 2 lines are blue, and RedHat 7.1 is red.

#v+

if you like RH7.1 type that:

echo $'\x1B\x5B\x31\x3B\x33\x31\x6D\x52\x65\x64\x1B\x5B\x31\x3B\x33\x37\x6D\x68\x61\x74\x1B\x5B\x30\x3B\x33\x37\x6D\x20\x66\x6f\x72\x45\x56\x45\x52'

(this should be in one line!)
:-)

ups, you're right, on my computer these "?" chars are mostly N, Z or c
with dashes or dots over them. I think it was soft-converted :) or
it is in extended ascii, but not sure...

it's something like that: (really clean ascii :-))

I have put arrows to point to the places where there's still some non-ASCII
chars.

              __rZSSSZcg_<== This one
           _ZN` C@@@t   7ZZz

And here=>ZNNa_ NNNNNNNNN`

Keep up the drawing! It looks good, but you have still got to take care not to
use non-ASCII chars.

It looks good now, but... (oh, here he is, complaining again...)
Those 2 dashes in your sig, you know they are intended to enable most
newsreaders to automagically remove the sig? In order to do that, the first
line of the sig can only contain two dashes, followed by a single space.
Extending the sig upwards like you did causes newsreaders to leave the sig
in thus missing its purpose alltogether.
Don't get me wrong, your sig looks good, but you might as well have left out
the two dashes all the same.
