ascii program for windows???

can anyone help me?
I need a program that allows me to convert pics
into ascii, or lets me make my own ascii.
Cause I'd like to make something that's better
than what I made down there (only my second try :)

I haverecently  downloaded a shareware that imports .BMP  files and converts
them into ASCII art. You can try it for free. It seem to have good reviews and
offer many possibilities.  Its name is EmailEffects. There is a version for the
Mac and another one for Win95/98 You can find it here:

* FIGlet
    This great program makes ascii 'banners' from text - the titles in
   these lists are a good example.

    Various fonts are availiable (.flf files) and there are versions of
   FIGlet for almost any operating system and computer type:

    The windows version of FIGlet, FigWin, is still only in beta and has a
   few bugs. Also, you dont always get the results you want without
   experimenting with the options first.  However it does have features
   not found in many other versions, like vertical smushing and weird line
   fitting.

    There are also many online, web based versions of FIGlet available

    If you are a DOS user, you can get a GUI for DOS FIGlet at:

   which should make the running of FigDOS easier.

* GIFscii
    GIFscii, and it`s variants, will take an image file (usually GIF) and
   convert it to an ascii picture. The results arn`t brilliant, but can
   serve as a good starting point for an ASCII picture.
    Do a web search for one of these, as they are everywhere. Versions are
   available for a wide variety of operating systems and computer types.

    These conversions can be viewed as graphics using ASC2PIC, a program
   that will basically 'draw' ascii art using grey pixels on the screen.

* ASC-TOOL
    This program does rotation and flipping of ascii art. It is most
   useful when you need a left facing ascii art to face right, or
   something like that.

* RESIZE
    Performs 'pixel' resizes on ASCII Art... adding or removing
   characters to resize the pic. The size is a percentage of the
   original.

* ASC2PIC/ASC2PIC2
    This is the reverse of GIFscii... takes solid style ascii and
   'draws' it as a picture on the screen. Good for viewing ASCII
   conversions as the graphics they came from.
    ASC2PIC2 extends this capability by allowing viewing of both
   White on Black and Black on White pics to be viewed.

* ASCHALF
    Resamples asciiart to 50% graphically. It resamples the picture
   as if it were a .GIF or something, and then converts it back
   to ascii art using a similar method to GIFscii.

* LGIFScii
    This program attempts to take a lineart GIF pic and convert it
   into Line Art ascii. The results arn`t great, but it can be
   used to get the idea of a shape and then fiddle with is later.

* TRIM
    Removes blank spaces from the end of lines in text files. Not
   specifically an asciiart utility but useful just the same.

* TheDraw
    TheDraw is primarily an ANSI editor, but is suitable for ASCII art
   also.  It features many features not availiable in most 'standard' text
   editors, like filling an area with a character, or dragging a block
   around. There are many features specific to DOS ansi editing, which
   I will not go into here.

* AcidDraw
   AcidDraw is a similar program developed by artists for artists. A
   similar feel and feature set of TheDraw, but geared more towards a
   static-screen (non-animated) drawing.  It's sole purpose in life is to
   create ASCII and ANSI art.  Some nifty features include the ability to
   flip screens horizontally and vertically and otherwise manipulate
   text-based art in ways that a normal text-EDITOR simply can not do.
   Also shareware. (And the programmer is still alive but no bugs have
   ever been reported, to the fault of the software.)

        Please note that none of these ASCII Utils are necesary for
             creation of ASCII Art, but merely to aid creation
          It is totally possible to make ASCII Art in any of the
                   editors on the 'Text Editors' list.
        TheDraw and AcidDraw, however are editors in their own
           right, so could be used instead of a 'traditional'
                              text editor.
