FIGLET.ZIP (0/1) text-->Big Font Maker

Here it is.  I got a few responses from people who wanted me to post 
figlet for DOS.  I included all of the fonts that I could find.  Those 
are all of the ".flf" files.  This is pretty handy when making simple 
sigs like my own.

USAGE: figlet -f fontname.flf
EXAMPLE: figlet -f small.flf

I think I changed the name of the main font so that Graffiti is the 
default font.  Sorry about that.  Anyways I will ONLY post this once and 
in one part so get it now!

Unfortunately it took me a little longer to find that out. My system had  
to crash a few times before I thought about searching for viruses. The  
damage was low - but does anyone know what this virus does except for  
halting my computer?

McAfee's Virus-Scanner recognized the Whisper-Tai-Pan-Virus and was able  
to successfully remove it. The Scanner that came with MS-DOS 6.2 is NOT  
able to disable the virus.

I think somebody owes us an apology!

I too got the TAIPAN virus from FIGLET. F-PROT says it does nothing but 
replicate itself. NOT so. It removed the registration code from my 
GIFLITE - that's how I discovered the problem. However, I experienced no
crashes. The virus copied itself twice to GIFLITE; McAfee removed only one.
I had to delete the file and vreplace it with a clean copy to eliminate the
"Whisperer presenterer Tai-pan" code.

Will these two people please, please, state exactly where they 
downloaded their copies of FIGLET.EXE from.

Figlet.exe 2.1 was posted recently in comp.binaries.ibm.pc and 
would have been checked for viruses. 

If the CBIP copy of Figlet is contaminated then the CBIP moderator 
must be alerted.

Hi Colin.. I am the moderator of comp.binaires.ibm.pc and just wanted
to let you know the CBIP copy of Figlet is not contaminated.  All
software is scanned by several different virus checkers before being
posted, but I just went back and check the whole archive again this
afternoon.  Phew!! No viruses.

It doesn't appear to be.  I virus scanned with McAfee 214 AFTER having run 
it, and nothing showed up.

	i can run this file just find under DOS....i get all the nice 
fonts and all....but how do i capture the output into a file in whichi 
may use for a sig?

It is ... i used F-PROT to scan the file and it was infected.

and the one I got was too 8-) ( note that I assume that all these were 
people who extracted it from the zip file posted to  alt.ascii-art  and
it was most definately contaminated ( thanks to virstop for stopping me 
running the program )

These were my funny bits. They are mine. If anyone is caught displaying my 
funny bits in public, I will be pretty annoyed. My funny bits are not designed
to be offesive, but obviously there are people out there who will find them
offensive, and as such, I feel I should appologise in advance.

What did it say it was infected with?
I would like to check the McAfee that I use to see why it doesn't
find any virus (I just got version 217).  There must be something
wrong with either McAfee or F-Prot!

I'm sorry I'm coming in a little late here.  But what virus does Figlet
allegedly have?  What are the effects of this virus?

    I want to put and end to  this  FIGLET  virus thread.  The CBIP copy of
    figlet  is  NOT  infected  with  a virus.   All  CBIP  submissions  are
    rigorously checked with the latest versions of F-PROT,  McAfee's  SCAN,
    PC-TOOLS CPAV, Norton anti-virus and TBAV by several people.

    The figlet archive posted in  ALT.ASCII-ART  was  infected, but the one
    posted  in  COMP.BINARIES.IBM.PC  was NOT infected.  The archive is  at
    ftp://vinny.csd.mu.edu/pub/CBIP/volume28/figlet.
