What I haven't seen in a while are the ones with added noise, almost
like the real-life counterparts. I think there was a little software

I found about 3 of these programs when doing some research on
stereograms.  But I never posted anything about them as I wanted to
promote more art and less cut and paste.  There where some good ones
out there but they don't seem to have near the detail that hand done
ones have and are very limited in what they can represent, mostly
solid flat objects.  And they are completely unreadable by the
one-eyed people (is there a politically correct name for that?) in the
group.

Hehe. Come to think of it, "partially sighted" is one I hear a lot. Im not sure
if that's just an all encompassing "any sight problem short of being blind"
term, or a PC term. Visionally Challenged sounds okish. *shrug* I've always
called it "one eyed" or "blind in one eye" ... hmm, a dr once had a go at me cus
I called my blind eye my "bad eye" ... it doesnt work, therefore it's not good,
the opposite of good is bad, so whats so wrong with that? :)

I have Terminator 2 with an audio track for the "visually impaired".
it's actually quite entertaining.  "the Warner Bros logo appears,
fades to black.  *boom* a metallic foot crushes a skull.  the view
widens to show a dark battleground, hovercrafts shooting lasers at
fleeing human soldiers" and so on.  (not a quote, just in the same
vein.)

This version might be a little easier for some people to read because
it doesn't require such a large spread of the eyes.
I couldn't even get the above one to work because I couldn't pull off
the spread.

That's not really accurate. Depth perception is there, it's just different with
one eye. Binocularly challenged maybe?
