"get rich" not my fault

Dear Internet User,

It has been brought to my attention, by a couple hundred angry people,
that advertisements for a get rich scheme have been posted under my
name to several newsgroups. Let me assure you that I had nothing to
do with these postings.

I have been working with the system operators at Georgetown to rectify
this situation. It appears that one of my many political enemies on
campus may have broken into my account. This would not have been a
tough feat to accomplish given that I am the President of the
Georgetown University College Democrats and my password, until today,
was "CLINTON96".

Many of the angry people who have been sending messages to me have
remarked that they are referring me to the FBI or to the United States
Postal Service inspectors. Please refrain from doing so. Again, this
is not my fault. Let me assure you that any money that is sent to me
as a result of the newsgroup postings will be promptly returned to its
senders.

Also, I am seeking to post this reply to all of the newsgroups on
which the damaging get rich letter has been posted. Please let me
know if you find a newsgroup which contains the get rich letter, but
does not contain this reply.

Sincerely,
Mike Jacobs
