incorrect display in outlook/notepad !

When i make something with Jave and copy/paste the ascii art into notepad it
displays it incorrect. example,

following is suppose to be my name; "b a r t"
  ____      __      ____    ____
 (  _ \    /__\    (  _ \  (_  _)
  ) _ <   /(__)\    )   /    )(
 (____/  (__)(__)  (_)\_)   (__)


If I look it with DOS edit, it displays it fine....

also when i copy/past something from url
http://www.ascii-art.de/ascii/ab/batman.txt

it does not ouline correct

I am guessing go to 
EDIT
uncheck word wrap thinking the preset is 74 to 75 columns
then below it set font to ( my choice )Courier New 
size 8
