Why do we have to start hate wars? I read in this group somebody (I'll look it up in Deja News) quoted something like: "Miss Kitty has an objection to posting with initials..." also "Miss Kitty has posted a picture with initials, realised, removed them, and later posted without initials". This second statement I shall check VERY carefully. Not now, 'cos I don't have the time. You didn't directly deny it, so I assumed it was true. You posted the kitten in a hand by ROW only days after the group had discussed the fact that it DID belong to him. That was rude. I don't accept that you "didn't notice", because you obviously, like myself, read everything which comes through this ng. You seem to be arguing that if you only knew who the pictures belonged to, you would post them with initials. I find 18 cats/kittens without a single known author hard to believe when you read everything that comes through the group. You have proved how spiteful you are now, and frankly, bloody rude. I don't want to start a war here. How about this: I'll find out who every picture you have belongs to. I will explicitly tell you to whom they all belong. After that, I expect to see the postings with the initials. IF you ask the authors (and I will check, because you have REALLY pissed me off), and they don't mind not having the initials, that is fine. If you honestly don't know who they belong to, fine. Only ask, and I'll find them, even if no-one else cares about this. Finally, I would just like to justify my indignation. One of the ways I define art is this: Can you recognise the author/painter/sculptor/etc. by their style, when you see a new piece of work. If you can, it is art. I can mostly tell, now, whether b'ger, jgs, vk, ejm, hjw, etc. drew a picture, so I regard it as art. I feel that initials should be left [in the absence of specific aproval by the artist]. No ego trip. Just respect for the artists. Anyone still not understand where I am coming from, I have one thing to say: "READ THE FAQ!!!!!". CU. Andy.

Could everyone get off Miss Kitty's back? She's explained that the
credits weren't there when she found the pictures. As far as I know, she
has never claimed any art as her own, and she has never taken a pic off
this newsgroup and snipped the credits.
I'd say: Miss Kitty, just post what you have, and when someone tells you
the author of a certain piece, just add the initials. You could add a
disclaimer to your posts saying:
DISCLAIMER: This is not my art, if you see a piece of art without the
proper credit, please mail me so I can add the initials.

Do you like them? I'll post back when I draw some more. I already
made an animation with Nika, and I'll post that soon. "Nika stalks
the mouse" would make a nice sig pic or sig blank (hint, hint). If
