copyright symbol???

alt.ascii-art · 11 messages · 27 Mar 2004 - 11 Apr 2004

hi,

perhaps this is an OT question, but there are not many newsgroup where i
could post an ascii issue.

Does anyone of you know which is the code to have the (C) copyright symbol
as a ascii character?

Thank you in advance!

Gian Paolo

Hi!

There is none, because the copyright symbol simply isn't part of the
7-bit ascii character set. It _is_ part if iso-8859-1 (aka Latin-1),
though and it's entity code is 196 or 0xA9.
Hope that helps,

	Phil

actually the decimal is 169, to get it in windows hold alt and type 0169
on the keypad ->

if you're using an international english keyboard layout, the you could
press AltGr+c (it's the right Alt key)

But we still don't want to see any of that in the ASCII arts around here :)

If anything it should be a subgroup to alt.ascii-art

alt.ascii-art.extra is good , alt.ascii-art.extended is better
