That weird stuff he's singing is the end of the bridge and the entire guitar
solo from the song "Fraile" by Nine Inch Nails. I've been known to imitate NIN
songs myself, hence this strip.

I think this came from VK's comment on the CD player episode. She pointed out to
me that it looked as if NB and Mandy were in the "poke & kick" stage of a
romance. As far as I know, they've been in that stage from the beginning of the
strip.

Although He seems to have in Spin City, a sitcom that uses the "foreboding
comment" joke to death. Made up example: "Oh, don't worry, I won't drop the
cake! OOPS, I DROPPED THE CAKE!" (hahahaha). Spin City is kind of tiresome in
that sense.
