I'm really missing him. Have there been Tran-less periods before? (sick or
holiday leave...)

Hi,

Tran is going his way everyday. I hope you would check his site.
http://www.asciiartfarts.com/20030926.html

Sad to say, it seemed that our hosting service refused to see his post recently.
His post I could see the last was September,21. :-(((

I do not think it is the provider, as it now three of us that cannot see
his recent postings, and we have different providers. So it seems he
just stopped posting to this group.

I am not sure if I say foolish thing but, is it one of the reason why Tran's post disappear?

You could not find our [alt.ascii-art] group on the groups google website.

And I can't believe Tran is dead.

I found alt.ascii-art (e.g your posts) in groups.google.com. You will
not find the Tran there (only impostors), because Tran regularly uses a
X-No-Archive: Yes header.

Well, you pointed at the website yourself, which seems to be continued.
But I'd rather like him to post here as well.

Look at the next page. :)

Also, Tran cross-posts in to binary groups, which stop them being
archived at Google AFAIK. My news server doesn't carry Tran posts for
this reason. I only ever get to see them if someone replies to them or I
use another server. :(

I almost did the same thing. If wasn't for the fact I've searched for
this group on Google before, I don't think I would have noticed there
was more groups. :)
