Greetings, all! I am currently working on an article about some of the elder, but still thriving, cultures of the net, and the ASCII art community fits that bill fairly well. What I'm most curious about is if there is a good resource for info on pre-internet art...I remember, as a relatively small child (10ish) seeing assorted ASCII Spocks and Snoopys on my fathers ancient line printer -- this was the early to mid 70s. Any pointers to a pre-history of line-printer art would be muchly appreciated. *----------------------------------------------------* Evolution doesn't take prisoners:Lizard "I've heard of this thing men call 'empathy', but I've never once been afflicted with it, thanks the Gods." I remember seeing a large picture of Jesus done in some war on a typewriter, I think the artist was killed. -- | _ \ _ ^~ email:bateau at jupiterio.net | <')_,/ , ; \ >(')__, . ` ' , ,______________._ | (_~=/ \._`.'. \ (_~_/ _, '------:_______ ;==( *BANG* | ='- \=~_) ; \ ~^~~^~ ` (_~_/ | | `-\ \ *BANG* | ICQ:11367619 -'= \ ~^~~^~ `~' \_;
