What a moron. Has this idiot ever actually come out with anything
remotely funny? Or even original (art wise)?

I have only been in this group for a few weeks now but I have'nt seen anything funny as of yet
..

He seems to be obsessed with gay people too .. I don't see that there is anything funny about
mocking the gays.
In fact - I very thankful that there is such a thing as gay men ..
For every gay man that is one less man to compete you for the women. HOORAY for gays ! ..
lesbians however should be punished :)

Also he never replies to any questions .. I am beginning to think he's a very well programmed
bot - that would explain the total lack of humor.

Yes I agree all lesbian should be punished, they should be sentenced to
spend the night with me (at the same time) in my bedroom as a severe
punishment.

Either that or he hasn't the brain to work out the question, that would
also explain the lack of humour ;o)

art.He/she has made some VERY funny captions for
some of the ascii he/she posts.

No. The word in question is the subject of a dependent clause. The
clause is the object of the preposition "to." So the clause would be in
the objective case if clauses had case. Pronouns do have case, and the
subject of a clause is in the nominative. So it should be "whoever"?

We've done this before, most recently about a week ago.

I believe so.
But i guess you could say whoever too.

Let's have some people with english as their native language answer this one.

Thanks. I thought so, too, but I wasn't quite sure.

I stand corrected.

But when _can_ you use "whom" ?

Well done, Ananda. In case the poster gets confused by this last one,
"whomever" in that instance is in the objective case because it serves
as the direct object within the subordinate clause of which it is a
part. De-inverted, that clause says "You have insulted whom," "whom"
being the direct object of "insulted." Change the grammar of the clause
so that the relative pronoun is the subject and you get something like:
"You should apologize to whoever was insulted by you."

Better yet, and easy to understand, is Patricia O'Conner's *Woe is I*.
