has anyone seen the asc-trix thing that was linked on slashdot recently?
it's really cool... anyone know how they did it? their webpage is pretty
uninformative...

yes, i wanted to, but i couldn't remember when it was posted on slashdot, so
i had a hard time finding it. then, i remembered it wasn't on slashdot at
all. it was linked from detonate.net... here's the link to the kick ass
ascii matrix trailer:

http://tranzmit.demonews.com/get.asp?key=ftp://ftp.demonews.com/tranzmit/3dd
emos/asc-trix.zip

this has inspired me to write my own kind of version of a ascii converter.
it's actually coming along quite nicely... i can change images into ascii
with realitive ease, and i'll next be adding the feature for converting
mulitple images then compiling into a file and then playing back the
sequence of images...

I think you're the one who's pretty uninformative. It would help a lot
of you could show us that link... (I'm guessing I'm not the only one who
don't have any idea of what you are talking about, and not the only one
who's curious) :)
