Here is the character set of a Siemens S10 (sorted by keys):

1:  1        1

That's 125 different characters (7 bit), containing the
ASCII character set except for [\]^`{|}~

.... which means a bit of a difficulty as \ and | aren't
used very often in normal text, but excessively in ASCII
graphics.

A "handy" is the German word for what's called a "mobile" in England
(wireless mobile telephone). English sounding names make things sell better
in this country, and this is an example, where the word isn't really English at
all.

16 characters.
Do all handies have a standard screen width?
The problem with SMS is that you don't have a carriage
return character, so that you have to fill up each line.

Here is a SMS that I received but can't quite figure out:

    /)) /)) (,' ) (,
    ' ) ,,(,,,,)c=(,
    ,,,)o,, /)) /))
    (,' ) (,' ) ,,(,
    ,,,)=(,,,,)o,,,,

Perhaps anyone else can see something in this? It contains
some repeating patterns such as  /))  (,' )  (,,,,)
