I finally did it! I have been posting off and on in this group for 2
years now and I finally have my own Tran Diddy.

I would like to think the academy and my X-faux-wife for the support
and complaining that made this possible. A special thanks also to
the great thinkers of the world from Aristotle to Carl Sagan.
Without your self persuite for bashing dumb people I would have never
been inspired to achieve more in life...

This is the second time I have covered this in a week so I will just
cut and paste.

A short falling in the english language. There is no third person non
sexual pronoun that does not reduce someone to "it" or as you pointed
out make one person into many. I wish we whould get that fixed. I
have submitted a bug reports to Webster and Wordsworth but they
bounced back with some error about them being long since dead.

You are much kinder than in the other group where this came up.
They are still fighting it. I am waiting to see how they respond to
the w-m.com definition of they which expounds on how people like
Shakespeare used they to refer to just one person.

Hopefully they will settle down after that.

Some people can be militant about English.

Well, there've certainly been enough suggestions... see
http://www.panix.com/~kingdon/gender.html and
http://www.aetherlumina.com/gnp/ , for example.

Thanks for the bookmarks. I can now post one line replys to the
