   I like muscial sigs. I've made a couple. Here's my favorite:

                  |\                |\                               |\

   I understand that my music sig is technically incorrect in a musical
sense. But nobody has volunteered to fix it.

I added a time signature (in 3/4 time), rounded the notes with apostrophes,
made sure that there were three beats per measure, and added a triplet.
(For those who are counting, a triplet is counted as two beats)

I knew all these years in the back of a choir room would pay off.

   Thanks Chris. Speaking of modified music sigs, here's one I only used
once, 'cause it seemed like a dumb idea. Here it is:

            ...:::::::...
         ..:::::=====:::::..
       ..:::::=========:::::..
      ..:::::==== |\ ===:::::..

   Now you see why I only used it once. But somebody emailed me and said
they liked it a lot. How can you figure?

Very nice...except even this one is not technicaly correct. The top
crossover on the clef should be on the D line, second from the top, and the
top of the bottom curve shoudld reach the B line, third from the top. The
bottom of the bottom curve should be resting on the bottom, E line. Other
than that, it is a very impressive treble clef...easily the best I have seen
asciied.
Adrian.

Thanks, It's close enough for classical music ... :)

BTW: I did make one modification. Since there is only one line, I redrew the
notes with the stems going in the right direction.

[correction of treble clef munched]

Well, if we're going to try for absolute correctness, we might as well put
the G's stem pointing up (and on the right side, of course). *smile*

How about mixing up those stem directions a bit. I think it's a little
easier to read without the apostrophes (they make the notes look dotted to me).

Looks like you've got a quaver triplet which is equal in length to one
crotchet. Thus the remainder of the bar is a minim:

                     |\                         __3__          |
____|\_______________|\\_______________|_______'__|__`___|_____|___|__________
____|/___3_|________@'_\|__|_____|_____|___|___|__|__|___|_|__@'___|___|___|__
___/|____-_|____________|__|_____|____@'___|__@'_@'_@'___|_|______@'___|___|__
__|_/_\__4_|___|_______@'__|____O'_________|____________O'_|__________@'___|__
___\|/_____|___|___________|_______________|_______________|_______________|__
    /         O'                                                  bob...@wwa.com

The last bar also looked a bit squashed to the left so I shifted the notes
1 char to the right.

Regards,

Ryan.
