I thought this particularly long thread in alt.os.linux.slackware using

Greate thread. Here is a serving suggestion for your though. slrnpull and in fact most things in News are not things you need to see very often since slrn takes care of its self nicely. I'm usually tidy with my home, but the recent new internet connection means I have gone in to upgrade overdrive. (Tar balls everywhere).
