Hi Kevan,

The feature you are talking about will be available in the very next
release of my freeware program JavE (I will name the tool "camelizer").
Unfortunately this will still take a week or so, although I am working
very hard to finish it as soon as possible.
If you do not want to wait so long and do not find any other tools, you
can post the text and an image for the shape to me, and I can try to do
the conversion for you. The conversion runs automatically and there are
only three options for configuration. As an example I have taken the
text from this message and shaped it to a ring:

The last is the most problematic algorithm and it will not create good
results with most shapes. I think adding a fill character like ':' above
makes the result look better. However here is the original w/o the fill
characters:
