I do not get any newsgroups containing either *.binaries*, *.pictures* or
*.sounds*, but alt.ascii-art is here...

well known addresses to me.  I am not on Internet, but I think I will be
able to get it from a UUCP site 'nearby' (in net terms) that is on internet
and an nntp server as well, golden-gate.owl.de in Paderborn.  I'll take the
forever train to Paderborn tomorrow and see what I can do, maybe I will
get the alt.binaries.pictures.ascii feed from that place too.
