Erhm, did someone call me? Yes folks, I'm back! I'm a bit busy at the
moment (Stage 3 university is a little bit busier than Stage 2, you see
:-), but I've been keeping up with a.a-a over the last 1 1/2 weeks and I
am about to retouch the FAQ. Before I do that, though, I have a few
questions about things which have happened in my absence ...

* Who posts the FAQ, and how can I e-mail them? (I never actually saw
any posting happen, I don't think.)

* Who keeps a copy of the FAQ on their Web sites? As I said just
before I left last year, I'd like to set up a script so that
whenever I update the FAQ these people get e-mailed the HTML version
(with stuff like GeoCities advertisements and custom colours added
    to particular copies).

* Is rec.arts.ascii up and running again, and if so, why? Just before
I left last year I noticed someone volunteering to be moderator, and
then when I arrived this year there were some messages in it, but
since then it seems to have died ...

* What happened to all the spammers? They seem to have disappeared.
Does this mean it's safe for me to start using my real e-mail
    address in the header?

* Does anyone use alt.ascii-art.animation any more?

* Is this leave-sigs-on/take-sigs-off debate EVER going to end?

* Does `Miss Kitty' have a REALLY bad attitude, or what?

I would be interested in reading any suggestions for changes in the next
version of the FAQ. At the moment I plan:
* updating (or not) the section explaining the demise of
    rec.arts.ascii
* updating the list of Web versions of the FAQ
* checking all the URLs (of course).
But I don't see anything else major which needs doing ...

And just to keep everything on-topic, here's an ascii-artwork hot off my
keyboard:
